In this two part series of blog postings you will find out why you need Anti Spyware
I get a lot of questions about how harmful it really can be to have spyware on your computer. Think of it this way… What do you use your computer for?
- emailing?
- shopping?
- banking?
- storing pictures?
- keeping information organized?
All of these things can be compromised by spyware. A good spyware application can keep track of all the keystrokes you make and send them to a central server while you sleep. That means that it knows all of the websites you go to and all of your usernames and passwords. How would you feel if someone you knew had all that information not to mention someone you don’t know who only wants to use that information to exploit it? To prevent all these intrusions into your private life, you should make it a point to install an anti spyware software program onto your computer. The anti spyware program will alert you if somebody is trying to access your computer or if someone is trying to monitor the activities of your computer.
But Isn’t Spyware Illegal?
Surprisingly…. not really. Technically spyware was simply used as a way to help advertisers get their message across to people. Little did the lawmakers know how the code could be used to put peoples information in real danger. There really is no legal recourse for a spyware infection.
